Physician-Assisted Suicide: Who Uses it?

Statistics from 23 years show a consistent pattern

Physician-assisted suicide in Oregon became legal in 1997, and since then, six other states and Washington, DC have provisions in law for it.  In one state, Montana, a court has ruled that it can be carried out.  A new study published in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society looks at 23 years of Oregon statistical data over 5,329 cases and determines a clear profile of the typical PAS patient.
