Lauren Richwine is making a federal case out of her right to help the dying and their families
September 5th, 2023Lauren Richwine is a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and the funder of “Death Done Differently.” She specializes in helping those with a terminal diagnosis and their families plan for the final days of life and what will happen after someone dies. Lauren also helps families navigate the death-care industry, including funeral homes and cemeteries. Recently, the State of Indiana advised Lauren that if she is going to continue her important work, she must be licensed as a funeral director and must build a funeral home she won’t ever use. What? Lauren’s gone to federal court, saying she has a first amendment right to speak freely to individuals and families.
