With the Right Reforms, Artificial Intelligence Can Transform the Postal Service

Ross Marchand is a senior fellow for the Taxpayers Protection Alliance and writes about how Artificial Intelligence is slowly transforming the venerable U.S. Postal Service.  Marchand thinks the new systems have greatly speeded up lost package recovery and the overall customer experience.  “But the USPS has a troubling track record in responsibly using digital applications and AI will be no different absent careful oversight,” he notes.  “The agency must strike the right balance in embracing new technologies and safeguarding consumer privacy.”
